Space Pirates
It may have been a long time since my most recent film score, but things have been far from uneventful over the last year. My band, The Dread Crew of Oddwood, is doing better than ever, with new merchandise available, a great new lineup, and big shows booked for this fall! Saturday, November 7th at 8:00pm we'll be playing with The Poxy Boggards and The Merry Wives of Windsor at the Galaxy Concert Theatre in Santa Ana! Doors open at 6:00pm and tickets are usually $15, but if you buy them presale, directly from us, you pay just $12! Act now because they're going fast!

Raising Arizona
Oddwood is playing our first out-of-state show! Thursday, July 2, at the Surly Wench Pub in Tuscon, we'll be playing our Arizona premiere with Devil Doll and Black Cherry Burlesque. The show starts at 9:00pm and it's pirate themed, so if you come in the appropriate garb, you'll get $2 off the ticket price! We've got new songs, new merch, and a great new double bassist, so if you're in the area, be sure to come check out this epic debut. For those who can't make it, our album Reign The Helm is available online for you to purchase, so you can get your fill of The Dread Crew in the comfort of your own home. We'll meet each other...again. Dagoberto!

All's Faire In Love and War
Things are looking up for The Dread Crew of Oddwood. Our debut album, Reign the Helm, is finally finished, and just in time for faire season! It will soon be available to purchase online, but in the meantime, you can get it from us directly if you attend our shows at either the Ojai Renaissance Faire, or the Renaissance Pleasure Faire (the latter which we'll be performing at for five weekends in a row)! I've added some more photos from our recent shows to the gallery section, and in other news, I've begun work on a new music project that is heavily linked to video games. Stay tuned for more as it develops!

A Pirate's Life For Me
Things are going fantastically for my pirate/celtic band The Dread Crew of Oddwood. We're currently recording our first album, Reign the Helm, which will be finished and available to purchase in January. We've recently added footage of our group on KUSI Morning News, and we'll be playing all weekend (December 6 & 7) at the first annual Vista Pirate Faire. Later this month, December 29, we'll be featured in the Astra Kelly showcase at Dublin Square Irish Pub, and our self-titled single was featured on volume three of the New Orleans pirate music compilation CD Lafitte's Return. I've also added some photos from our last two shows to the gallery section. Stay tuned for more!

No Longer Just YourSpace
Quick update; I've finally succumbed to the pressure of the internet community and signed up for a MySpace, so now you can listen to select full-length tracks from my film, choral, and video game projects, available to the public for the first time ever! On the more piratical side of things, The Dread Crew of Oddwood will be playing the Escondido Renaissance Faire this month during the weekend right before Halloween. Not familiar enough with our music to know if you're interested yet? Check out some of the footage from our last show and decide for yourself!

A Change of Scenery
Notice anything different? I'm proud to announce the integration of my new and improved logo, designed by the talented Lisa Guo! This new design not only includes a more refined and visually appealing look, but fits much better with my entire site theme as well. I've also added four new Marian antiphons to my portfolio; Ave Regina Caelorum, Salve Regina, Alma Redemptoris Mater, and Regina Coeli, nearly all of which were performed during last night's Compline service at St. Paul's Cathedral. Additionally, the weekend of September 20 and 21, I'll be playing concertina with my new band, The Dread Crew of Oddwood, at the 17th Annual Ojai Pirate Faire. This is our inagural live show, so be sure to come by and a great time will be had by all! Harle!

Ain't This The Life
The Mursic show at Canes Bar & Grill on Saturday went fantastically. I would like to extend my thanks to the Canes staff, Dead Man's Party for having us open for them, all of the other Mursic members—Tony, Nick, and Mike Montemarano, Brian Rumsey, Tim Iler, and Reece Miller who first suggested I play in his absence, Cecilia Polkinhorn for taking great photos of the concert (some of which I've just added to the gallery), and of course, everyone who came out to see the performance. I am absolutely sincere in saying that it was the most fun I've had on stage to date.

Search for Surreal
Here's an interesting development...Saturday, August 2 at Canes Bar & Grill, I'll be playing keyboards with San Diego "synth-onic" rock band Mursic, opening for the official Oingo Boingo tribute band Dead Man's Party! This is merely the beginning of my involvement with said group, and in a multitude of aspects. What exactly is there to come? I guess you'll have to stick around to find out. And a quite note, back in the film scoring realm, Save Ron Jr. was a huge success at the 2008 El Cajon Video & Film Festival, taking home the award for Best Comedy Over 30 Minutes. Not too shabby. Anyway, I hope to see you all at Canes soon!

It's Either Film OR Video
It's now been confirmed; Save Ron Jr. will be closing the 2008 El Cajon Video & Film Festival! The brainchild of San Diego independent film company Infrastructure Productions, this is my latest film score, which will be playing its first public screening. The festival begins Saturday, June 14, at 10:00am in the Museum of Photographic Arts. Save Ron Jr. is slated to run at 5:00pm (give or take about a half hour). I apologize for the short notice, but I urge anyone who is a fan of either my work or movies in general to attend. Hope to see you there!

Have Mercy
My newest film score is complete! Take a trip back to the 80s with Save Ron Jr., an absurdly nostalgic look at how obsessive people can really get, brought to you by the talented filmmakers over at Infrastructure Productions. It will be featured in a number of film festivals this year, so keep an eye out here for future dates and locations. Since January, I've also written two brand new choral pieces, Te Lucis Ante Terminum and Ave Regina Caelorum, which were recently performed in the Compline mass. In other news, the Mega64: Version 1 album is coming along nicely. With the personnel I have involved in the project already, I think all of the fans will be pleasantly surprised with the final product. Additionally, I've updated my bio photo with a portrait by the highly skilled photographer Tande Di-Lanatta. But wait! To top it all off, another piece to the Legacy of Magnus puzzle has been added: brand new character designs from up-and-coming graphic illustrator Tiffany Smart! Does this reveal more information about this mysterious project, or just shroud you in further confusion? You be the judge.

No Reason to Compline
Sunday, January 6, at 8:30pm at St. Paul's Cathedral, my newest choral work, Ave Maria, will be performed as a part of Compline. This is the first vocal piece I've written in almost two years, sung in Latin and set in an ancient candlelit liturgy, so be sure to come by and check it out. In other news, I'm currently scoring a brand new film, which should be finished by the end of the month, and as The Best Kids in the World goes into production, I've begun gathering all of the music for the long awaited Mega64: Version 1 album, which will include several new surprises in addition to the original score. I'll post updates on those projects as they develop. Happy New Year!

Adventures, Assassins, and Aquabats
I'm finally back, and with a brand new site design! A lot has happened since Altarations; I've finished work on two new film scores, The Adventure of Ineptitude Man and The Final Hit, not to mention, while continuing work on Legacy of Magnus, I was surprised by an e-mail from The Aquabats webmaster Alex Benson, who wanted me to be a part of their new tribute album: The Best Kids in the World! This 15 track CD will feature a brand new remix of Sequence Erase, arranged by yours truly. Check back here for more updates as the album progresses.
